Ted is a Senior Solutions Architect at Lucidworks with almost 20 years experience in Search including the "Vendor Engines" like Verity and Fast. He has contributed a number of blogs on Solr and Fusion over the past few years on topics such as Autophrasing, Query Autofiltering, Text analytics and Advanced suggestors using pivot facets and dynamic query boosting. Of all of the search platforms he has worked (or struggled) with, he feels that Fusion is absolutely the best and getting better by the day. Ted's main goal as a search architect is to focus on the "Quality" side of the search equation - using advanced relevance techniques and text analytics to improve the search experience. He is now learning to be a Spark guy as well as a Solr guy - awesome synergies are possible here.
